Satins

The Satins were the creation of the lead guitarist, Pete Kedzia of Rosedale, Maryland. They weren't, regularly, a night club band, per se, but enjoyed more the CYO, Fraternity Parties, private affairs, Elks, Moose and The Baltimore Polish Club of Fells Point gigs. The Satins were managed and promoted by Pete's father, Lou, whom always kept our best interest at heart. Members of the original group were: Jim Steeg (saxophone); John Steigleman (guitarist); George Adams (drums); Skip Morton (lead vocals); Pete Kedzia (bandleader and lead guitarist); Ron Garrison (trumpet); George Peacock (saxophone); Mel Haynes (saxophone) George DeLuca (bass guitar). Every member of the group at the time, around the mid '60s were or had attended Overlea High School. All, except for Ron Garrison who attended Kenwood High. Later members to join, as replacements were made were Johnny Gerard, Jerry Treffinger, Alan Duor, and Charlie Cumberland.
